SHACK FOR YOU: OUR TASTING MENU

Browsing a menu is stressful. What’re the most popular dishes? What just isn’t to be missed? How much food is too much food? What if you don’t order enough food? What if your pal orders something and then you wish you’d ordered it too?

Sounding familiar?

Don’t stress – we’ve got the perfect tasting menu for you.

WE LOVE SHARING

Japanese Fusion restaurants are all different by their very nature, and if you want to get a proper Shack experience with none of the decision-making, just opt for our tasting menu.

It’s the perfect meal for two, but can be scaled up to share between large groups too.

All we ask is that there’s a minimum of two people dining, and the menu has to be served to the whole table.

It’s our favourite way to dine – and with plenty of small plates and larger dishes, we promise no one will go home hungry.

CHOPSTICKS AT THE READY

On the menu, we split the menu into four courses – but here at Shack we’re a little informal. We’ll bring you dish after dish, as they’re ready to serve.

We get you going with chilli BBQ edamame and our seabass ceviche, made with pickled tomato, shallots and coriander. A nice light start, but packed with flavour.

Next up are our famous Korean Fried Wings, who have featured multiple times on the Off Menu Podcast, and padron peppers with yuzu salt. A team-favourite makes up the last of the small plates – our prawn toast, masquerading as okonomiyaki.

Next out, our hot stone rice is served sizzling and ready to mix – with egg, chilli, sweetcorn and mushrooms making this a hearty rice dish. We also have Iberico Pork Pluma, with spring onion and black pepper miso, and our Aubergine – glazed with sticky miso, and topped with bubu arare.

BEST FOR LAST?

It wouldn’t be a trip to Shack if you didn’t indulge in our Kinako French Toast. This slab of sweet toasted brioche is perfect to share between two – just make sure you get your fair share of the matcha soft-serve.

The green ice cream is made by us, and is synonymous with the green shop-front of SHACKFUYU.

Kinako French Toast

Call us cocky, but when it comes to the dessert list… well we don’t have a list.  There’s only one dessert on our menu, and we’re pretty smug about it, actually.
